The developed dwelling configurator is an augmented reality (AR) app for mobile devices. It constitutes an alternative solution to customize large-scale designs and further incorporate clients and the common public through gamificating the architectural design process. The app enables the design of architectural aggregations with an in-built automated process substituting voxels as architectural blocks. Envisioned is a hand-in-hand design channel for architects and clients to accelerate the planning process by enabling non-professionals to conceptualize architecture with the app.

The iOS application prototype is developed with C# in Unity and Rhinoceros 3D utilizing Cellular Automata, Genetic Algorithm, K – Means Clustering, 3D Graphic Statics, XCode and ARKit.
